21/May/2017 BTS took BBMAs Top Social Artist Award home!!!

This is not only the very first Korean group but also Asian won in Billboard Music Awards. Read the Billboard News.

The BBMAs Top Social Artist Award had been taken home by Justin Bieber for 6 years since it was set in 2011, but this year the history has be revised because the boys took it home! And it's excited Aberly again!!!

The method of choosing the nominators of Top Social Artist Award is based on the album and sound module sales, the number of radio broadcast, the concert that the artist held, and other data during 18, March, 2016 to 16, March, 2017. Then Billboard will poll on worldwide fans which is started from 1, May, 2017 in order to decide the winner from a variety of platform like Twitter and the poll on Billboard official website.

Their company Bit Hit Entertainment announced that BTS was invited to attend 2017 BBMAs at 9. May because they were nominated for the Top Social Artist Award and were going to compete the award with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande (take care of recent tragedy sweet heart 😢), Shawn Mendes, and Selena Gomez. Besides, they are the first K-pop group who was invited to attend the BBMAs.

And it goes to....BTS!!

The boys said it was already a magnificent honor to be invited to the BBMAs so they didn't anticipate any chance or percentage to bring the award home. However, their fans ARMY show their love to the BTS and helped the boys miraculously won the award by hundreds of million of Twitter votes.

The boys got over 300 million votes from their fans around the world, which broke the vote record of this award and amazed western press and artists as well. Members all said it was like a dream from they received the message to attend the BBMAs to took the award home and they kept show their appreciation toward fans even in their acceptance speech.

Members said that Billboard has always an untouchable mental indicators for them, not even to dream of attending the awards. One of the members Suga a.k.a August D in his mixtape song "August, D" also sung that "Next stop is Billborad." Who will know they really made it to their dream! And they kept saying they will be able to Las Vegas was all because of their ARMY fans and kept showing their love to ARMYs.

After this historical victory, BTS surely catch worldwide press' attention, especially western pop. And the boys also met many new friends included The Chainsmokers, Halsey, and Camila Cabello, etc. They also announced that there will be some collaboration between them and the western artists to expect in the future.
